PowerUnit & SpaceUnit

START transmitter specially designed for sound start which covers up to 8 lanes.

PowerUnit can operate in sound start mode (the start is triggered by a loud sound such as a clap or gunshot) or be quickly set as a START, LAP, or FINISH transmitter that emits a magnetic field detected by the transponder during passage. Combined with the SpaceUnit antenna, it provides a detection zone of up to 6 meters and covers up to 8 lanes simultaneously.

How does it work ?

Press 2s on the Power button to turn it on. Press on the Set button to select the MIC mode.

Place it 2m behind the start line (Freelap logo facing toward the start line). If you time on 8 lanes, place it between lanes n°4 and n°5.

To trigger the start: make a loud sound (e.g. clap or gunshot) close to the transmitter (within approx. 1m for an optimal detection).

When it detects the sound signal, it instantly triggers the start (the green MIC led confirms that the start has been triggered).

How does it work ?

Press 2s on the Power button to turn it on. Press on the Set button to select the Tx mode.

Make short presses on the Power button to select the desired code (START / LAP / FINISH)

Place the transmitter on the ground on the side and parallel to the track (Freelap logo facing the track). It must be placed at max. 6m of the rider’s passage.

For an optimal detection and accuracy, take the start 15m before the START transmitter.
